Embassy and consulate legalization
If a country does not accept apostilles, your document must be legalized: first authenticated by the competent Gambian authorities, then stamped by the embassy or consulate of the country where it will be used. The same applies in reverse to foreign documents used in The Gambia.
We prepare your file, check that the signatures and stamps on the document are the ones the ministry will verify, submit it for authentication and then take it to the relevant embassy or consulate. Where an embassy covers The Gambia from Dakar or another city, we coordinate the submission through our network.
Legalization is common for study abroad, work contracts, family reunification, marriages, commercial invoices, certificates of origin and company documents. We also legalize documents for Gambians in the diaspora who cannot travel home.

Frequently asked questions
How long does legalization take?
It depends on the ministry and on the embassy involved. Some embassies process documents in a few days, others take several weeks. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
Which embassies can you work with?
We work with embassies and consulates represented in Banjul and, through our network, with missions accredited to The Gambia from Dakar and other capitals.
I live abroad. Can you legalize my Gambian documents?
Yes. Many of our clients are Gambians living in Europe and the United States. We handle the process in The Gambia and send the legalized documents to you by courier.
